Fall Wedding

Over Labor Day weekend, Mark and I attended one of our best friends weddings in Cape Cod. While I was just a guest, Mark was one of the groomsmen and I was tasked with finding a dress that fit his dapper black tux and black bowtie. While I wanted something that would go well with his tux, I did not want to wear a bright color as I was gearing up for the fall season.

As you may remember, this time last year I put together a post to what I wore to a fall wedding (you can find it here). In the past year my style has grown and evolved however, there is one think I still enjoy wearing and it is a solid colored dress with some surprising details. In last years post, I wore this Chic Navy Dress from Rent the Runway and this year I fell in love with this gorgeous forest green! Here are a few other gorgeous forest green dresses I have my eye on.

This dress is by a designer that I have never shopped before but I am glad I did. The designer is ELLIATT and I was pleasantly surprised with the structure and quality of this dress. The fabric is thick and made extremely well. I purchased both the small and x-small just to be safe and ended up with the x-small to accommodate my small upper half. One thing you will notice about the dress is the structured piece around my hips. I almost shied away from it because I was afraid my hips would look larger because of it but be not afraid! It added the perfect extra detail. Shop a few more of my favorite ELLIATT dresses below.
