Transitioning your wardrobe to fall can be tough. Sometimes you are not quite ready to retire those open toe shoes and sleeveless tanks. I know I sure am not ready for summer to be over yet. Since yesterday was the first day of fall, I think it is finally time to get ready for the chillier weather that is right around the corner! Today, I wanted to share my three tips for transitioning your fall wardrobe! Keep reading to see more.

Tip 1 - Purchase a few cardigans

My favorite thing to begin to invest in when the weather starts to get chillier are a few cardigans in a few different colors. I usually purchase a new grey, black, and tan sweater to begin the fall. A longline cardigan is perfect to cover up your bare shoulders or to add a little extra warmth over your dress or skirt for those chilly days in the office. The extra length makes them extremely comfortable and also warm! Shop this one from Stacked and a few of my favorites below.

2 - Open Toe Booties are your Friend!

Don't shy away from open toe booties just yet! I love that I am still able to wear my open toe shoes for a few more weeks. All of my favorite stores have so many options available and they look great with anything from jeans to dresses! I'm sure you still have a pair or two left over from this summer so don't pack them away just yet and enjoy the warm weather while it lasts! Shop a few of my favorites below!

3 - Don't retire your sleeveless tops just yet!

One thing I almost always wear all seasons of the year are my sleeveless tops that I purchase during the summer. This may be obvious, but it is so simple to throw your favorite cardigan or jacket over your sleeveless top to keep warm! I received this one from Romwe over the summer and got tons of wear out of it but I am not quite ready to retire it yet! I will be wearing this one for a few more months!
