Pyara Salon

A day of pampering is always something that I jump at any chance I get and a few weekends ago, I was able to head to Boston with one of my best friends to spend the day at Pyara Salon and Spa to experience some Aveda services. Keep on reading to see how our day went!

When we arrived at the salon we were greeted by an amazing receptionist. After being seated and offered some of Aveda's signature comforting tea which is naturally sweetened with licorice and water my stylist, Chaude, headed over to give us a tour. She walked us around the main are of the salon which was brightly lit, welcoming, and open. All of the stylists were already busy beautifying their clients and we were excited to get started. Chaude then walked us down stairs to their spa area. The rooms were all named with different inspiring words and had different feels to each room. It was a complete zen zone and I hope to have the chance to go back to experience some of the spa services.
After our tour of the salon and spa, Chaude and I quickly chatted about what we wanted to achieve with my hair. As you can tell in the photo above I had some light ends that were from having my hair highlighted a few months ago. Although I loved the grown out look, I decided I wanted a more natural look that will be class and timeless for my upcoming wedding. We decided to go for an all over color to cover up the lighter pieces thanks to the much in-depth conversation. Chaude made sure to explain everything to me from examples that I could understand to how it would effect my hair.
Before getting started, Chaude treated me to a neck massage which was amazing! Not to mention I wore the perfect off the shoulder top for the occasion. I was able to reap the benefits from both the neck and shoulder massage! She used Aveda's Peppermint Oil which was refreshing and feels great on your skin. One of my all time favorite things about Aveda is their refreshing scents.
Chaude then began applying my color. She used an all over formula that was meant to cover the light ends of my hair while adding shine. The entire process for he to apply my color was about 30 minutes. I have extremely thick hair with texture so she had to use multiple bowls of color to cover my head.
After she was done applying my color, I sat and processed for about 45 minutes to ensure the color was covered. Luckily, I had one of my best friends, Lindsey, with me to spend some time catching up and chatting. It is always nice to have a friend come along with you to the salon to have someone to enjoy some time together and since I hadn't seen Lindsey in a few months I was so happy to have her oblige to spending the morning with me and also be my photographer! (THANK YOU LINDSEY!)
After processing for about 45 minutes Chaude began to work the color out of my hair. After rinsing all of the color out of my hair she treated me to a hand massage which was another great perk! Who doesn't love a massage!
Chaude then began by applying some of my favorite products to help keep my hair in place for the rest of the day. One of the products, Smooth Infusion Style Prep Smoother, is one I use on a day to day basis. It is great for hair with texture to help style and smooth your frizzy hair. Chaude also used Brilliant which adds shine to you hair.
Chaude went with my go to look with is loose waves. She created them flawlessly with a large brush and her blowdryer. I don't know about you but I have tried to blow out my hair many times and it never comes out looking like this! I absolutely loved it!
After every service Pyara Salon and Spa offers finishing touches to your service. My makeup was touched up and I was ready to finish off my day! If you are in the Boston area be sure to check out Pyara!
