Freeport

Last weekend I had a wonderful opportunity to go to one of my favorite towns in Maine, Freeport. For those of you who have never been to Freeport, Maine, it is a great town full of outlets and any sort of shopping you might be able to imagine. To take the stress out of getting to Maine, which is typically almost a three hour drive from my home, we took the Amtrak Downeaster. I had never thought to take the train to Maine before and once we got on the train I realized how great of an idea it was! We got to sit and relax for the entire ride and not have to worry about putting miles on our car or have to worry about traffic. It is definitely something I plan on doing again!

When we arrived to Freeport, we first headed to our hotel, the Harraseeket Inn. We were welcomed by wonderful hosts and were told there would be afternoon tea in a few hours. We headed out for some shopping but made sure to head back for some tea to warm up. The weather in Maine wasn't as chilly as I thought it would be but I definitely had to bundle up. I threw on my new cocoon coat from Old Navy to make sure I stayed warm. I also put on this adorable beanie. I wore my comfortable flat booties to walk around all day and carried my favorite tote that I was able to shove some of my purchases into.
