Keeping Your Smile White

After recently getting engaged, I realized how important it was to me to keep my smile white while leading up to all of the great events that I will be experiencing with my fiance, friends, and family. Although I currently use Crest 3D White toothpaste daily and follow a few tips that I have learned to keep my smile bright, I also like to use a whitening system to help boost my smile.
The Crest 3D White Brilliance System is a quick and easy two step system that you can do daily. First, I use the Daily Cleansing paste. I brush my teeth for one minute and move on to step two. It provides a clean you can feel from the first use along with a brighter, whiter smile in just two easy steps: step 1 deep cleans and step 2 is a whitening finisher.
I then use the Whitening Finisher to boost my smile! I brush my teeth for one minute with Step 2 and am all set!
On top of using the Crest 3D White Brilliance System, I stick to some rules so that I can help maintain my bright smile! Keep reading below to see what my tips are.
1. Limit drinks that stain - I am that girl that can't go a day without her coffee but in order to keep my smile white, I try to only drink one coffee per day.
2. Hydrate - Water is great for your overall health but it is also helps to remove stain-creating plaque from building up in your mouth. I drink a lot of water because it is great for your skin as well. In general I truly believe you should drink your daily quota of water or more!
3. Choose complimenting shades - If you are noticing your smile is not as bright as usual, pick a different lip color or a top that isn't quite as vibrant white. Pick a lipstick or lipgloss with blue undertones that will counteract the yellow colors around your mouth. These shades include rich reds, berry colors, pinks with a cool tint, or nude colors. Avoid lip shades that are bright orange or reds with warm undertones as they can accentuate teeth stains. I actually have a lipgloss that claims it will make my teeth look whiter because of the blue tones in it!
4. Be diligent about dental hygiene - Prevention is key! Floss, brush, and use mouth wash daily. I have always been a stickler with the three and not only is is good for your teeth but it is also good for your overall health.
5. Add a teeth whitening system to your daily routine - If you don't already use a whitening tooth paste, consider adding one into your routine. As I mentioned before, I use Crest 3D White toothpaste daily, but also like to use a whitening system before special events to boost my brilliant smile!
