Vintage Tea Party

Vintage Tea Party

I am someone who is typically inspired by all things vintage and feminine and when One Kings Lane recently reached out to me to create a post featuring what I would use for a tea party and a special celebrity guest I would invite I immediately knew who it would be and how I would style my tea party. The celebrity I would choose is a long time inspiration for me and is Lauren Conrad. I have always admired her style and how she is an entrepreneur. I would love to have a chance to meet with her and ask her for advice on how she became so successful and also maybe get some style tips! I admire her classic feminine style which is something I often try to emulate.

For inspiration for the tea party I stopped by a few of my favorite sites for inspiration. One Kings Lane has a great posts for inspiration on How to Host a Tea Party and Creative Ideas for Coffee & Tea Cups. I also headed over to Pinterest and simply typed in "tea party" and many different ideas populated that I absolutely loved. I found a few photos with turquoise vases and pink peonies as the pops of color with rustic touches which I thought fit my feminine style perfectly. This Turquoise Tea Pot is the perfect tea pot for my theme and thes Turquoise Ink Bottle would be perfect as centerpieces scattered around the table. One idea I really loved was the use of vintage napkins wrapped in twine.

In this Glass Pitcher from One Kings Lane I would make some infused water such as Strawberry Mint Infused Water. I love the idea of using fresh ingredients and August is the best time to use fresh local produce. I currently grow both strawberries and mint in my garden so this would be the perfect drink to make! Plus it has a pretty pink color to go along with the peonies.

To go along with all of our pretty pieces, I think it would be a fun idea to make my own macaroons. What's better then having some macaroons to sip with your tea! Here is an easy macaroon recipe to use.

One thing I loved from the How to Host a Tea Party post on One Kings Lane is that you should dress the part! What is better then getting dressed up in a cute dress to spend some time chatting and enjoying some delicious treats with you girlfriends or your special guest! I have linked a few pieces below that I think would be perfect for a tea party!
