Lucky x Polyvore

Yesterday was... amazing! And it all started when I was walking into this very room. With no idea what to expect, Mark and I headed to New York City Saturday afternoon and arrived right around dinner time to meet with his cousin and head out for dinner and drinks.

We stayed at the amazing Ace Hotel in New York City which was so unique from any hotel stay we have ever had. The entire hotel's feel was so trendy and seemed like it was the place to be! The lobby had a full bar with many of their guests were lounging on couches and chairs with their laptops with their Old Fashion in hand. Although there was an abundance of noise coming from the lobby, once we got to our third floor room there was no noise to be heard which was nice because we needed some rest. Our room was had a king size bed, which we loved because that is what we are use to at home, and was fully stocked with food, drinks, cozy fleece robes, and any other amenity you could think of! Being a coffee lover, I was so excited when I realized the coziest coffee shop just right downstairs. Not only did I feel fully welcomed but the coffee was amazing at Stumptown Coffee Roasters. Overall Ace Hotel was an amazing experience and I know I will stay there again!

The next day I woke up early and headed to the studio for a collaboration between Lucky Magazine and Polyvore where 5 amazing Polyvore creators/bloggers, including myself were getting primped, prepped, and styled by some of the best stylists, makeup artists, nail artists, and hair stylists for a feature in Lucky Magazine. Now I don't want to share too much and spoil the surprise but I did want to share some of my photos from the day!

Before any of the primping and prepping started I was given a few outfits to try on which was anything from J.Crew, Banana Republic, Zara and many others. I was given a cozy robe and slippers and chatted with they stylists from Lucky Magazine, the Community Director from Polyvore, and the other girls that were that were there! Everyone was so excited and thankful to be there!

First my nails! Miss Pop Nails gave me the most fantastic manicure using Deborah Lippmann nail polish and a pedicure using Essie nail polish. My nails looked amazing and I can't wait to rock my manicure all week!

Then, I was given a beautiful blowout and beachy waves as well as a gorgeous makeup look with a berry lip by Brian Duprey, I felt like a movie star!

I had a few different hairstyles, first beachy waves, then this french braid, and one last hairstyle that I think will be the one in the magazine!

We were in a beautifully lit space in Manhattan. The crisp white made the studio so bright and beautiful. I really enjoyed spending my day here!

We all shot in front of a blue background which really made all of the outfits pop. Here is the beautiful @looksharpconnie doing her thing!

My hair might have been pulled, brushed, and twisted in ways it has never has been before and I may still have some of that makeup on from yesterday but I would not have changed a thing! I want to sincerely thank everyone from Lucky Magazine and Polyvore for including me in this wonderful experience! I can't wait to see how it all turned out!
